All my life there have been things I wanted to change about myself. Don’t get me wrong, I am relatively confident in who I am. But there are always habits in my lifestyle that I wish to change. Working out more and eating healthier are two examples. I’ve never been highly athletic, and I’ve always been confident in my weight and figure. I just want to be more fit and have more energy. I enjoy the way eating healthy and working out make me feel, but I usually don’t have the energy to begin new habits.
I have always wanted to dress better. I have been told throughout my life that I am pretty, and I don’t believe otherwise. But most mornings I wake up and opt to throw on makeup, make minimal efforts with my hair, and put on a t-shirt and athletic shorts or jeans. I have plenty of other clothes, and I could easily put in more effort, but it takes energy to change old habits and I find myself opting out.
I want to blog more. I want to take pictures daily of the things around me. I want to go on adventures and discover new things each day because that is what I feel defines making the most of my life. I had no problem back home trying new things and exploring, but since college, I have gotten lazy and mostly unmotivated.
But I want to change all of that. Starting today, I will stop neglecting this blog. Blogging and reading blogs are things that I love doing and I want to do that more. After I post this, I am going to take a power nap and then going to the gym. I am going to do some research later tonight and figure out ways I can eat healthy. I am going to do a little online shopping because the girl in me is dying to get some new clothes and plan out some outfits to make the process easier. I am going to start exploring restaurants and cafes around campus and work hard at applying for internships. I am going to continue studying a lot, but I am not going to let that be the center and only thing I do all day. I am going to step out and take hold of opportunities rather than wait for them to come.
I will continue to post my pictures from Korea of course, and I’m taking beginning Korean this semester so I will start posting what I am learning there too as a language learning thing like I did before! But I am also going to add other things that show my progress on becoming who I want to be.
Thank you for reading my long rant, I had to write it down so I know I will stick with it. I hope you will continue to enjoy this! 🙂
